With summer vacation coming to a close the boys returned
back to school with Ethan starting second grade and Brendan attending
his last year in preschool. Sheila and I took in the FSU - CU
nationally televised football game and were lucky enough to be
invited by our neighbor, Don Mills, to an exciting Broncos -
Raiders game which Denver won in overtime.

In early October we went hiking just west of Boulder off
the Peak to Peak highway with our neighbors. It was a glorious
day and the area which lies nearly 10,000 feet above sea level
had just received a sprinkling of high elevation snow that complemented
the fall aspen colors nicely.
Brendan turned five at the end of September and we celebrated
his birthday with friends and family at the Boulder Recreation
Center.
