Fall Colors - Crested Butte to Marble

For the second consectutive weekend, we ventured on a fall color road trip and spending a night in Crested Butte...

We arrived and met our photographer friend Matt who promptly took us to the amazing Ohio Pass right near Crested Butte...

Entering the town of Crested Butte...

The next day we drove Kebler Pass just west of Crested Butte which might possibly be the most specatular of all Coloraod passes when it comes to fall color. It is home to a massive aspen grove which also happens to be the second largest living organism on Earth. And it just goes on and on as far as the eye can see in some places...

Next, we drove over McClure Pass on route 133 and into the small ex-mining town of Marble. From Marble we hiked 4 miles along the Crystal River on a rugged and rocky ankle bending jeep trail to the famous Crystal Mill. Afterwards we ate a delicious BBQ meal at the only resturant in town surrounded by our fellow hikers and Crystal Mill visitors.
